This lecture will provide an overview on relevant topics for the deterministic replication of complex optical elements. Starting with an overall introduction to optics manufacturing, this lecture will go into detail about topics, such as machine design, mold manufacturing for plastic and glass optics, coatings for optical molds, replication techniques as well as metrology and quality management. Being a collaborative work within the transregional research center "Process chains for the replication of complex optical elements" funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, this lecture will introduce various experts in the field of precision engineering from Aachen Technical University, Bremen University and the Oklahoma State University in Stillwater/US. The lecture is an e-learning offer that can be downloaded (videos, slides). The exam can be done at RWTH Aachen, Bremen University or Stillwater (USA). The learning material (videos, slides) is available on L²P. Here you will find the fixed dates and time slots of the exam: Oral_Exam_Process_Chains_18.01.2018.pdf Oral_Exam_Process_Chains_19.01.2018.pdf |
